Donations Needed to Complete Accessible Camper Van for Medical and Rehabilitation Needs

An inspiring fundraising campaign is underway to help a courageous woman known as “Miracle Mama” regain the freedom and mobility she lost after a rare medical complication left her disabled. Supporters across the community are joining together to raise the remaining funds needed to complete a custom disability-accessible camper van that will provide transportation, medical support capabilities, and renewed independence.
Miracle Mama has spent her life overcoming impossible odds. Born during wartime, surviving severe childhood illness, and later enduring multiple strokes, she has become a symbol of perseverance and positivity for those around her. Even after a catastrophic medical reaction nearly claimed her life, she chose to continue fighting, embracing rehabilitation with determination and gratitude.
Her family discovered the life-changing benefits of accessible travel after renting a disability-friendly Winnebago ROAM van during the summer. For the first time in years, Miracle Mama could comfortably attend medical appointments while also enjoying meaningful experiences like visiting the beach, attending a spiritual retreat, exploring nature centers, and spending time outdoors with loved ones. Those moments became a powerful reminder that quality of life extends far beyond medical care alone.
Now, with the assistance of nonprofit leader Mark Maupin and Driving Successful Lives, a used Roadtrek camper van has been secured and partially renovated for her needs. The organization has already funded major mechanical improvements and accessibility preparations. The final fundraising goal of $19,000 will help install the remaining disability equipment and complete interior modifications necessary to safely transport Miracle Mama and her medical devices.
