Fortin Family Foundation gift advances expansion of pediatric services across Montana and the surrounding region
Billings, MT (PRUnderground) June 23rd, 2026

Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital expressed appreciation today for an extraordinary $5 million gift from The Fortin Family Foundation. The leadership investment will expand access to advanced pediatric services for children and families across Montana, Wyoming, and the western Dakotas.
“Building on a longstanding commitment to St. Vincent, The Fortin Family Foundation is honored to serve as a lead partner in this transformational effort,” said Danielle Moore, president of The Fortin Family Foundation. “We are proud to help advance a vision that will shape the future of healthcare in Montana and ensure exceptional, compassionate care for generations to come.”
The Campaign for St. Vincent Regional Hospital will secure comprehensive philanthropic support for four essential pillars: the new state-of-the-art hospital, advanced technology and equipment, clinical excellence and expanded services, and transformational programs. The campaign is designed to offer every donor a meaningful opportunity to support the area of health care that matters most to them. The Fortin Family Foundation directed their commitment to expand pediatric services.
“The Fortin Family Foundation’s extraordinary generosity reflects a deep commitment to the health and well-being of our community,” said Tyler Wiltgen, executive director of philanthropy at Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital. “This leadership gift will strengthen our vision for world-class pediatric care and inspire others to join us in shaping a healthier future for the region.”
For generations, St. Vincent Regional Hospital has been a trusted partner in caring for children and families across the region, continually evolving its pediatric services to meet growing and complex needs. Philanthropic investments, including longstanding support from The Fortin Family Foundation, have helped expand access to specialty care, strengthen partnerships, and bring services closer to home for rural communities. Notably, prior gifts supported the creation and growth of The Fortin Pediatric Specialty Clinic, developed in collaboration with Intermountain Health Primary Children’s Hospital and the University of Utah, connecting families in Montana to leading pediatric expertise without leaving the state.
This latest gift builds on that legacy and will further enhance pediatric care, including eastern Montana’s only pediatric intensive care unit, an advanced Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and the region’s only pediatric surgery program. These investments reflect a continued commitment to ensuring children and families have access to high-quality, compassionate care, reducing the need for travel and supporting better outcomes for patients and their families. This gift represents one of the most significant healthcare investments in Montana’s history and reflects a commitment to delivering comprehensive, high-quality care.
The Campaign for St. Vincent Regional Hospital represents a comprehensive vision. This is a once‑in‑a‑generation opportunity to build a new, state‑of‑the‑art hospital campus and strengthen lifesaving services for decades to come. All designed to transform care, expand access, and ensure that extraordinary healthcare remains close to home.
