EKnives, a family-owned knife and tactical gear retailer based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, will attend Blade Show West at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Oct. 9 and 10. The event draws collectors, tactical users, and everyday carry enthusiasts from across the country and is billed as the largest knife show in the West. EKnives will bring a carefully selected lineup of knives and gear, including several models built only for the show.
Attendees will get a hands-on look at everyday carry gear and tactical knives for sale alongside EKnives exclusives not sold anywhere else. "We love getting out from behind the screen and shaking hands with the people who collect and carry what we sell," said Clayton Ensminger, owner of EKnives. "Blade Show West is circled on our calendar every year. Our EKclusives bring something new to the knife world, and there's no better crowd to reveal them to than the makers and collectors at this show."
The show-only lineup includes a small batch of EKclusive knives that will not be restocked once sold, continuing the company's focus on curated releases over mass-market volume. EKnives has built its reputation since 2012 on hands-on customer service, with Ensminger and his wife and co-owner, Coco, often personally answering support requests. Show visitors will be able to browse the collection before pieces sell out, as well as check out select production models the retailer will offer at its Blade Show West booth.
Ensminger said the trip gives EKnives customers who shop the online knife store a chance to meet the family behind it face to face. "A lot of what we do happens through texts and emails," he said, "so it means a lot to put blades in people's hands and talk knives for a couple of days." EKnives plans to bring highlights from its full range of automatic knives, balisongs, fixed blades, and tactical accessories to the show floor.
Knife enthusiasts attending Blade Show West are invited to stop by the EKnives booth to see the collection in person. Those who can't make the trip can shop the full catalog anytime at EKnives.com.
